It's that time of the year at Hudson Farmers Market when things start to come alive. Our growers have started planting, even if it's indoors because it's been raining buckets, and our other producers are busy planning menus or making other preparations. As for me, I'm working on my checklist to make sure everything is in order when June 7 rolls around – contact vendors, check; complete necessary paperwork, check; plan activities, check; pray for good weather on opening day, double check!
Even with the best checklist, there are some things, like weather, over which I have absolutely no control. The same thing goes for the type of turnout we'll have on opening day, or on any other Saturday for that matter. Of course, the fact that I have no control over it doesn't stop me from worrying about it, so I've decided to seek your help in ensuring an awesome turnout at the market this season. It's very simple: If you love our market, tell two friends and invite them to meet you there when you plan to visit. Don't forget to tell each of them to invite two friends, too. Also, if you haven't done so yet, join us on Facebook and, yes, tell two friends.
See you at the market in a few weeks,
