As the new farmers market manager, I feel it’s a privilege to write the first post for the market’s new blog, Market Basket.
I envision the blog sort of like a mystery basket, the type presented to aspiring chefs during cooking contests to test their creativity. It will contain some familiar items, maybe some not so familiar items, and the occasional item that just makes you scratch your head.
Among the offerings, I hope you’ll find lots of juicy market tidbits and helpful hints, get a real sense of who our vendors are, and discover many reasons to support the market in its efforts to provide a place where community members can find food for body and soul.
